Deer Skull Cameo Necklace

I made this 38″ custom cameo necklace for a family member to go with her lovely tattoo. It’s mixed metals, brass and bronze, tigers eye, glass pearls and the crystals are all Swarovski Elements. I added a a brass leaf at the closer as a final touch.

When life gives you lemons…

I have been gone far too long, my life took an unexpected and unstoppable turn, last February  a week after caring for my elder rescue kitty on her deathbed, we received an eviction notice because the landlord sold his house, and wanted to live there for a month while he purchased a new home for himself. We are currently renting from family but have no room for my usual crafts. There is an upside to this , as I have met a woman who taught me to wire wrap jewelry, it’s really has kept me busy and have even received my first custom  order. I will be sharing more with you all soon, so glad to be back.

White Poppy in my garden

This single white bloom popped up the other day. It may not be as lovely as my other poppies but I found the little brown specks on antique white petals charming. I am really fond of the center of poppies so intricate and beautiful.

Making Lacy Ruffles by hand

I have been gone way too long, my sewing machine decided to retire early with out notice. It took me 2 months but I purchased a new one. (I will post about my new machine soon) Right before my machines untimely departure i received an order for my first commissioned apron.( right after she purchased one from me ) she wanted lots of lace and ruffles on apple/rooster fabric. Now I hate making ruffles, I don’t have a ruffler foot nor am I experienced in gathering, but this is my third ruffle I have ever made, ruffled by hand, I think im getting pretty good at it. I cant wait to share more!

Paris rose sachet

My sister in laws birthday is next week  I made her this sachet that is lace edged and stuffed with  a small amount of batting, dried lemon geraniums that I grew myself,I added some Bulgarian Rose oil that I received as a gift, it smells delightful. I absolutely love this fabric and bought 10 yards of it on a whim, ( really funny when a friend dropped by and witnessed me trying to fold 30 ft of fabric) Hope you guys like the new photos trying to step up my photography. Image

I love this oil smells so good, and I really like the wooden container the vial came in.
