I really loved making this necklace.
My Etsy shop Vixi Le Rue will be opening soon.
This 36″ brass and bronze wirewrapped necklace was for myself. It has red rose beads, glass pearls , jet and fern green Swarovski Element Crystals, bronze leaves and dragonfly wings. I pieced bronze chain to space out the beads. I added a brass bow to the closure to finish it off. This necklace paired perfectly with my cream and white striped dress that is now my favorite.
I love roses, I always wanted a red rose ring, but never came across one, when I got into ring making that was the first thing that came to mind. These are the a few that I wear most often, and they are incredibly comfortable. These rings have become very popular with my loved ones, and I finally have my red rose ring I always wanted.
Continuing my non traditional Christmas stockings inspired by a vivid fever dream, is my lilac and dot stocking for my sister in law, I love lilacs, they don’t grow well where I live now, but growing up, they would tower above me sending out its sweet scent in every direction. I do have a small pink lilac in a container in my large south facing window that is doing quite well, and look forward to its blooms in the spring.
This stocking is fully lined with french seams, and has a ribbon loop. I really love mixing dots and floral, I think it came out well. I have ten stockings I have finished sewing, 3 more to go.
I had a fever dream of Christmas Stockings in non traditions colors and themes, this was in October, I decided to make them this year and got started right away, I made my own pattern and started planning. After a lot of work , I have made 10, 3 more to go. Each is one of a kind, designed for each person in mind .
This is for my 13 year old niece, fully lined with black and tiny white dots with enclosed seams, The loop is ribbon, i will share all my stockings. I hope you enjoy them as much as I had dreaming of them.
Ah roses is there anything more simple while still being so elegant? I fell in love with this rose fabric and it took a long time for me to cut into it, I’m very pleased with how it came out. Like all my apron this is fully lined. The attached half apron is white dot on white very subtle but I think it adds a lot.
I added apple green topstitching to the rose fabric, and finished off with red and white lace. I have started to refer to this pattern that I have created as a “tartlett apron”
I am a huge fan of they color grey, I think its entirely under appreciated, I found this cream rose on grey fabric, I really loved it but was afraid it was too old-timey, I paired it with this grey geometric pattern and i think it complemented it a lot.
I added this white lace, I think the lace pattern ties the pattern from the two fabrics together.
